With the summer season of racing nearly upon us, there is some exciting news concerning the introduction of a Welsh Club National Series Club Award. This summer there will be 5x Club National Events running across Wales, starting 20/21 April in Pembrey. Given this opportunity, SSW (Snowsport Wales) wanted to bring these races together by recognising the races as a series that will reinforce and support race clubs in Wales.
The WCNS Club Award will reflect both performance and participation in each of the Club National events. Points will be awarded to each Welsh club for every finisher in all categories of the races, with the points accumulated through the summer.
100pts will be award to the winner of the Males, Females, U10/12 Male and U10/12 Females. Points awarded will reduce by 1pt for each place, ie
1st Place = 100pts
2nd Place = 99pts
And so on
Clubs (affiliated to Snowsport Cymru Wales) will be recognised by the artificial slope club listed with the competitor registration published on the latest seedlist on GBSki.com. Where competitors are racing as non registered day entries they may for their chosen Welsh Club, but must be bone fide active members of that club.
Please note: that whilst the points award are based upon individual results it is not proposed that there are individual awards made for the overall series. The winning club will be based upon the accumulated points scored by that clubs members from each of the races.

21st April Pembrey Pembrey Open Club National
20th July Pontypool Pontypool Ski Racing Club National
21st July Pontypool Cardiff/Dragons Club National
22nd Sept Llandudno North Wales Snowsports Club National (Finale!)
